Effective Cleaning for Oil, Grease and Drilling Mud
Oil rigs and offshore platforms can accumulate crude oil, diesel, hydraulic and gear oils, EP grease, drilling mud, bentonite, carbon and salt deposits. These mixed contaminants can make walking surfaces slippery and conceal leaks, wear or other equipment issues.
ACE-2 Rig Wash is a water-based alkaline degreaser intended for rig and offshore maintenance cleaning. Its surfactants, palm-based solubilisers and wetting agents help emulsify oil and grease so contamination can be loosened and rinsed away.
The product is designed for cold-process use at ambient temperatures. Dilution and dwell time should be selected according to the contamination level, target surface and approved site cleaning procedure.

A Simple Six-Step Cleaning Process
Use the recommended dilution and cleaning method for the contamination level. Always follow the site's permit, isolation and wash-water collection procedures.
Dilute
Mix ACE-2 with water at the recommended ratio for the cleaning task. Mix slowly to minimise excessive foaming.
Apply
Apply by spray, brush, foam, dip or suitable cleaning equipment as permitted by the product instructions and the equipment manufacturer's procedures.
Allow Dwell Time
Allow approximately 2–5 minutes for heavy oil and grease as a starting guide. Do not allow the product to dry on the surface.
Agitate
Where required, brush or agitate lightly to help loosen stubborn contamination without damaging the substrate or coating.
Rinse Thoroughly
Rinse with clean water using an approved method. Collect wash water and solids for handling under installation procedures and applicable regulations.
Inspect & Dry
Inspect the cleaned surface, repeat on stubborn spots if appropriate, and air-dry or wipe dry as permitted by the equipment procedure.
